Since 2007, the Festival has been a juried show, to ensure a consistent quality and variety of products. This helps us bring in a good crowd and optimize everyone’s success.
Vendors, please note that we do limit the number of vendors of similar products, so apply early! If you have difficulty printing an application, please contact us. We will be happy to mail one to you.
Your application must be post-marked by the deadline on the application, generally 3 weeks before the festival date, and we limit the number of similar vendors, so apply early!
Setup is from 6:30 AM to 9:45 AM. Present your acceptance notice to the festival staff at the gate, at the end of Lake Ave. There will be no entry allowed for vendors that did not receive an acceptance notice. (So apply early!)
You may drive your vehicle onto the field to unload at your booth space, but you must park elsewhere as soon as you are finished unloading, and no later than 9:45 AM. Parking is available on the streets around the festival site. Limited off-street parking for larger vehicles is available on a first come, first served basis. In general, please park away from the Festival location, to ensure your patrons have a place to park.
Free coffee and donuts will be available for you during setup. Food vendors will be available during the festival.
Electrical power is not available in the booth area. You must bring your own tent, tables, chairs, etc.
The festival is open to the public from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
COVID-19 Note: The Town of Wakefield is not accepting applications for the use of the town common at this time. The dates of the Festival are known to the town but the WCNA does not have approval to use the town common yet due to COVID. If the WCNA cannot reserve the common or if the Festival needs to be canceled for other reasons related to COVID-19 all deposits will be refunded in full.
COVID-19 Update 03/03/2021: In January we conducted a survey of our past participants in the festival. Our survey asked about everyone’s comfort level with Covid-19, and whether folks would be more comfortable with a festival in June, or in the Fall. Most people were more comfortable with a Fall festival. Additionally, the vaccine roll out in general is happening slower then we hoped. There are just too many unknowns to plan properly for a June festival.
So, we’ve decided to focus our energy on doing a festival in September. We’ll let you know as soon as we firm up a date for September. Also, once we have dates in September we’ll post applications for download below.
If you have applied for the Festival by the Lake we will process your application. If you’d like a refund just send an email to email@example.com. Otherwise, we’ll process the applications normally and will notify you of any changes in the dates of the Festival.
