Saturday June 7, 2025 10am–4pm (Rain date is June 8, 2025)
Our annual Festival takes place along the southeastern shoreline of picturesque Lake Quannapowitt, in Wakefield, Massachusetts; just 10 miles north of Boston. Get directions.
Crafters, artists, local organizations, live music, and great food comprise the day. The Festival has thrived for over thirty years! See some photos.
The Festival is organized by the WCNA as a fundraiser for its many community projects. All proceeds are used for town improvement projects and community events.
Arts & Crafts
The biggest attraction at the Festival is the sea of tents under which you will find only the best arts and crafts. Every vendor goes through our jurying process to ensure a consistent quality and variety of products. We insist that everything be handmade by the artisans themselves. You will not find imports at our show. You will find one-of-a-kind creations of both esthetic and practical value.
Non-Profit Organizations
About 20% of our booths are sponsored by non-profit organizations willing to share their information and services with you. It’s a great way to learn more about Wakefield’s vibrant groups.
Regular participants include Friends of Beebe Library, who offer a very popular book “sale”, accepting donations for great books. (Get there early!) There are also fun and informative displays by environmental groups, health organizations, and other local civic groups.
Children’s Activities
While it is a treat just being in the beautiful park right next to the super play-ground (another WCNA project), children will also enjoy the special activities at the Festival: facing painting, games, and children’s train ride.
Your kids might also be inspired by the street art created on-the-spot by the Wakefield High Art Department.
Food
Our own members happily take orders at the main food tent. We offer satisfying fare, including burgers, healthy wraps, salads, watermelon, and dessert. Pricing is friendly too.
In addition, we also add select food vendors to round out your choices, including sausages, lemonade, fried dough, ice cream and kettle corn.
Facilities
Portable restrooms (handicapped and standard) are on site.
